Mike’s career in the investment management industry has spanned over 33 years, nearly 22 of which were at Eaton Vance Management in Boston, MA where he served as global equity portfolio manager and Director of Equity Strategy Implementation until he retired at the end of 2021.
While at Eaton Vance, Mike was a key member of a team that built a $15bn equity option income franchise, as well as the industry leading $40bn exchange fund franchise.
In 2022, Mike founded New Lantern Advisors to provide solutions-oriented, outcome-based investment offerings for solving real world client problems.
In 2023, Mike founded New Lantern Capital, LLC and launched a strategy intended to provide a tax-efficient, lower cost alternative to annuities and fixed income.
He graduated in 1990 from the University of Denver with a B.S.B.A in Finance. Mike has held the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”)1 designation since 1996 and became a Certified Financial Planner (“CFP®”)2 certificant in 2020.
After living in the Boston, MA area for nearly 30 years and following his retirement from Eaton Vance, Mike and his wife relocated to Saratoga Springs, NY where their two adult children and two grand dogs also live.
